ScopeGoat policies
Privacy Policy
ScopeGoat helps builders qualify projects and manage the conversation with homeowners. When you submit a project request, your information goes to the builder identified on that Range Finder and is stored in that builder’s ScopeGoat workspace.
Privacy and deletion requests: cuatro@westexconstruction.com.
Information we handle
- Builder accounts: email address, organization name, team membership, account status, company profile, and pricing and publication settings.
- Homeowner requests: the contact details you provide, project type and notes, property information, estimated home value or value range, budget, and other answers requested by the selected builder.
- Project work: reviewed options, estimates, walkthrough notes, files you choose to provide, shared client links, and related activity.
- Booking and delivery records: appointment references, booking or payment status received from a connected provider, and email provider responses when those services are configured.
- Technical information: session cookies, request and security logs, and product activity used to operate, secure, and understand the pilot.
Please provide only the information needed for your project. Do not enter financial account credentials, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information in project notes.
How information is used
We use information to create accounts, identify the correct workspace, calculate preliminary ranges, deliver project requests to the selected builder, support reviewed options and bookings, maintain security, and respond to support requests. Pilot activity also helps us understand which parts of the workflow need improvement.
Verification and account recovery features use your account email. The availability of email delivery depends on provider configuration; an email request or provider acceptance does not establish inbox delivery.
Who receives it
The selected builder and its authorized team can access requests in their workspace and contact the homeowner about the project. The builder is responsible for how it uses information after receiving it, including records it keeps outside ScopeGoat. Review the builder’s own privacy notice when available.
Service providers handle the data needed for hosting, authentication, storage, email, calendar scheduling, and payment processing. ScopeGoat currently uses Netlify for hosting and account infrastructure. Resend may process transactional email when enabled. A builder may connect Cal.com and a payment provider such as Stripe for a paid walkthrough. Their services and policies apply when used:
Netlify privacy · Resend privacy · Cal.com privacy · Stripe privacy
Optional integrations share information according to the builder’s setup and actions. JobTread supports internal client and property workflows when connected. Submitting a public Range Finder request does not automatically create a JobTread record. Information may also be disclosed when needed to comply with a legal requirement or address misuse and security incidents.
Calendar and payment information
If you choose a walkthrough, the builder’s connected calendar and payment provider may collect scheduling details and payment information. ScopeGoat records relevant booking references and status; full card details are entered with the payment provider. The builder’s fee and appointment terms are shown before booking. Direct booking, cancellation, or payment questions to that builder.
Sessions and shared links
ScopeGoat uses cookies and browser storage for account sessions and application functionality. Blocking these may prevent sign-in or parts of the app from working. Connected calendar or payment services may use their own cookies under their policies.
Client options links provide access to the information the builder selected to share. Treat these links as private and avoid forwarding them beyond the intended project participants.
Retention, access, and deletion
Workspace and project records are retained to support the ongoing account, inquiry, and project workflow. Some records may also be needed for security, resolving disputes, and applicable recordkeeping requirements. A shared link expiring or being revoked removes access through that link; it does not by itself delete the underlying project record.
To request access, correction, or deletion, email cuatro@westexconstruction.com from the address associated with your account or inquiry. Include the builder’s name and enough detail to locate the record. We may ask for information to verify your identity and coordinate with the builder. Information the builder exported or stored in another service must also be addressed with the builder or that service.
Policy updates
This policy may change as the pilot develops. The version and effective date on this page identify the current policy. Questions about this policy can be sent to the contact below.
